Poster Competition

Student poster competition — present your original research and get it considered for publication.

The student poster competition encourages students and recent graduates to present their original research, later considered for publication. All accepted abstracts are presented at the poster sessions during the conference — offering all budding scientists and researchers a platform to present their real-time work.

Instructions & Guidelines for Poster Presentation

Eligibility

Open to all students (graduates, postgraduates, and research scholars) not above the age of 35.
Presenters who don't wish to participate, or aren't eligible, are still welcome to present their poster at the conference.
The abstract submission deadline for the poster competition closes one month before the conference date (subject to change) — submit early.
Your abstract should include full contestant details (e.g. title, name, affiliation) — see the abstract template for guidance.
Abstracts are submitted online or by email. Shortlisted abstracts will be notified by email and listed on the website.
If the registered presenter is unable to attend, a co-author or team member from the same institution may substitute as presenter.
A great opportunity for young researchers to build their profile as multidisciplinary researchers.
All shortlisted poster presenters must be registered before the abstract submission deadline.

Judging Criteria

Judgment is done by a board of jury.
Each participant should be ready in front of their poster to answer questions from the judges.
Judges will come to your poster during the poster session — the schedule will be shared in advance.
You'll be given about 5-7 minutes to present your poster, including questions and answers.
Judges evaluate enthusiasm, interest, and knowledge in the area of the research.
There may be more than one judge evaluating each poster.
Winners are announced at the closing ceremony. The decision is withdrawn if the winner is not present at the time of announcement.
The judges' decision is final and no clarification will be given.

Posters promoting marketing and sales of products will not be accepted. If your poster isn't selected, you'll receive an email notification.

Poster Competition will be conducted only if registered poster participants are more than 15.

Visuals & Text

Present numerical data as graphs rather than tables — graphs make trends much more evident.
Keep visuals simple and bold.
Avoid acronyms and extensive mathematical notation as much as possible.
Posters with 800 words or less are ideal. Avoid compactly packed, high-word-count posters.
Organize your poster into clear subdivisions, e.g. Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and References.
Use bright colors to enhance detail.
Text should be readable from five feet away.
Besides your project, consider including future research plans or questions.
Each poster should be approximately 1x1m.
The title, contents, and author information should be clearly visible from 1-2 feet.
